02 · Teach · Level Above Yoga School

Not all yoga teacher trainings are created equal.

A 200-hour certificate tells you how long someone trained. It doesn't necessarily tell you how well they learned to teach.

Measured by far more than attendance

Our trainees study anatomy, philosophy, methodology, and the practical skills of teaching. They receive direct feedback, opportunities to practice, and assessments designed to demonstrate their developing competence. But our work goes further. Rooted in Baptiste Power Yoga and informed by personal inquiry, meditation and leadership development, Level Above challenges trainees to examine not only how they teach, but who they are being when they lead.

The goal isn't simply to graduate certified teachers. It's to develop capable, confident teachers prepared to make a difference.

Our commitment to Elevated Standards

We chose the higher standard.

In 2020, Yoga Alliance introduced Elevated Standards for 200-hour schools. Level Above pursued and received approval under them. When the pandemic paused the requirement, we kept the standard anyway.

The experience of your lead facilitator matters

An experienced yoga teacher is not the same as an experienced teacher of teachers.

I've facilitated teacher trainings since 2014 and guided hundreds of trainees through the process. That experience has taught me how people learn, how they struggle, how to challenge them effectively, and how to recognize when understanding becomes genuine competence. My life coaching education shapes how I facilitate: questions that invite deeper thinking, and accountability to commitments.

Great teacher training is developed through practice, observation, feedback, inquiry and skilled facilitation.

Recognized credentials

Independently held standards

  • Level 2 School, American Yoga Council (YTT-L2)
  • Registered Yoga School, RYS 200, Yoga Alliance, approved under the 2020 Elevated Standards
  • Lead facilitator: CYT-L3 (AYC) and E-RYT 500 (Yoga Alliance)

We design it around what is required to become an exceptional teacher.

"It was about learning to lead myself powerfully, to be for myself powerfully so that I can begin to do that for others. Just do it. You won’t regret it."
